Welcome from the CEO

The 2014/15 financial year continued to see Silver Chain Group pursue its mission with vigour and enthusiasm.  As a purpose driven organisation, our goal to deliver high value care for people to help them stay at home continues to inform our strategic posture with respect to solving some of society’s biggest problems – how to deliver a sustainable healthcare system into the future and how to ensure people at risk of institutionalisation can make the choice to stay at home and live full and independent lives.

The organisation has continued to grow in its sophisticated offerings in Western Australia and South Australia, and our more recent service offerings in New South Wales and Queensland continue to consolidate.  Technology is becoming an increasingly important part of our service delivery and our ability to demonstrate and quantify the benefits of our services is informing our service innovation programs.

Everywhere we deliver services, we aim to delight our funders and our clients, ensure our services are sustainable, and that we are able to attract and retain the best staff.  Most importantly, we aim to ensure that the objectives of our programs deliver their intended outcome whether that be supporting people to die at home surrounded by those they love, receive acute care in the community, be assessed well so that aged and disability services meet their needs or receive restorative aged care services.

I would like to once again thank the Executive team and my Board colleagues for their shared leadership and passion for the mission of the organisation during the past year.

As 2015/16 unfolds, and as we look into the future, we see an ever-increasing need to ensure that Silver Chain Group continues to respond to the needs of clients.
