The 2014/15 financial year was a significant one for Access Care Network Australia (ACNA) as it moved from a division of the Silver Chain Group to a subsidiary with its own Chief Executive Officer and Board.
During the past financial year, Silver Chain Alarms has helped 4,718 clients to remain living safely, confidently and independently in their own home.
This year has once again been a very busy one for EOS, which was established by Silver Chain Group as a social enterprise to innovate, improve and provide state-of-the-art ComCare technology to care organisations in Australia and New Zealand, at an affordable price.
This year the Home Support Service continued to increase support to new and existing clients and communities within the Perth metropolitan area, which has ensured more and more people able to live independently in their place of choice.
It has been a busy year in Country Services. We have grown the reach of our services across regional, rural and remote Western Australia, increasing access to both social and health services across the state.
The year 2015 could best be characterised as disruptive for Silver Chain Group’s services. The implementation of the Federal Government’s Aged Care Reforms have resulted in significant changes to the delivery of social care services (such as aged care and disability) not seen in the last 25 years.
It has been less than two years since we received Queensland Health funding to provide Hospital in the Home (HITH) services in Queensland. The 2014/15 financial year has set Silver Chain Queensland on course for a bright future.
Over the past year, a big focus for RDNS SA has been the client – in particular their experience as they interact with the organisation, developing new services and preparing for the Federal Government’s Aged Care Reforms.
Health WA continues to deliver sustainable community-based solutions across its range of core services and in doing so has delivered significant client and community outcomes that strongly align to Silver Chain’s vision and strategy.
Silver Chain New South Wales Palliative Care Service has consolidated its place during the past year as a valued partner in providing clinical care and support to people in their last days of life.
