Our Quality team is responsible for ensuring Silver Chain Group provides client centred services which meet the relevant standards and legislations.  It does this through a rigorous internal audit process of all sites and services across Australia, and through the evaluation and reporting of information relating to safety and quality.

The organisation is subject to multiple external audits each year by various parties on behalf of funders as well as accreditation by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) in metropolitan Perth and Adelaide.

During the last 12 months, the organisation has received 26 reviews in total by the following agencies:

  • Australian Council on Healthcare Standards
  • Licensing and Accreditation Regulatory Unit
  • Community Care Common Standards
  • Department of Veterans’ Affairs
  • WorkCover SA
  • Disability Services Commission.

Favourable outcomes in external reviews confirm the commitment of the organisation at all levels to continuous improvement, safety and quality.

The Silver Chain Consumer Interest Team ensures consumers are at the centre of their care and that they have representation within the Silver Chain Group. This year has seen the successful implementation of the Feedback and Incident Management System (FIMS) which has contributed to a culture of reporting and continual improvement, enabling the organisation to analyse trends to improve the safety, health and wellbeing of our clients and staff.
