This year has seen us clarify our vision; to deliver world’s best health and aged care in the home so Australians can confidently live their lives as they choose. It is bold and ambitious vision but we believe it sets us apart to respond to the rapidly changing aged and health care environments by providing more choice and excellent customer experience for our clients.
For the Health Care division, the past year has been focused on consolidation and platform-building to support Silver Chain Group to deliver its vision of providing world’s best health and aged care services.
Silver Chain has partnered with Medibank, Australia’s largest health insurer, to trial a palliative care at home service that will provide their members with high quality end of life care in the comfort of their own home.
In February 2017, the aged care sector underwent significant change with funding for Home Care Packages moving from the provider to the consumer, giving them more choice and control over who provides their care, what services they receive and how they spend their budget.
Over the past year, Silver Chain Group’s national Contact Centre, which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, has continued to support the organisation to achieve its vision to deliver world’s best health and aged care services.
Your support means our organisation can continue caring for people, as we have done for more than 110 years. Every donation helps us expand our reach, provide additional services and enhance our services and facilities with equipment and infrastructure.
Dedicated volunteers have been supporting our clients and staff throughout our history. Currently, our organisation benefits from the skills and experience of more than 280 volunteers who make a significant contribution, enhancing the quality of service we provide to clients and their families.
