Your valuable contribution will help us continue to provide world’s best health and aged care services so Australians can confidently live their lives as they choose.

During the 2016/17 financial year, we asked our supporters to help us:

  • Expand our clinic facilities in the Peel region of Western Australia so we can continue to provide specialist services to this fast-growing region. There has been a 47% increase in client numbers within this region since 2010. Our existing clinic, located alongside the Peel hospital, required expansion to keep up with demand.
  • Establish a volunteer program to help us identify and support lonely and socially isolated clients. We know many of our clients face loneliness and social isolation, which can have dramatic health consequences but research also shows us that we can make a difference by reaching out to lonely people.
  • Deliver respite that makes a big difference in the lives of carers. In Western Australia, around 310,000 people provide unpaid care and support to a family member or friend who requires help because of illness, disability or frail age. Caring is a big responsibility and carers need to take a break now and then.
  • Enhance our CarePlus equipment so we can continue to deliver home-based care and comfort to our Hospice Care Service clients. Careplus delivers specialised equipment such as beds, hoists, mattresses, commodes, shower chairs and other equipment to keep our clients as comfortable as possible.
